David is an Operating Partner at AQL. He works with founders and CEOs at our companies on strategic initiatives to drive value and accelerate growth.
He understands their challenges well having been the CEO of a PE-backed SaaS business himself for over 15 years. This experience means he can give our companies in-depth and practical advice on how to develop and focus their overall strategy and then to align and optimize their operational plans and metrics.
David joined AQL having previously met several members of the team in his days as a CEO. He could see that we think alike on how to help ambitious leaders create successful, enduring businesses. So, when the opportunity came up to join the firm, it seemed a natural next move.
He loves how SaaS businesses can create a level of intimacy with their customers that simply isn’t possible in the old software license model. They can more closely align themselves with customers’ changing needs. And, with the right help, they can rapidly grow to become market leaders.
Outside of the office, you’ll find David spending time with his family and traveling the world.
